Those that journeyed to the Hotel Minella last Thursday left with optimism about the future of Clonmel following some open and frank discussions about the future of the track and the direction in which things are going.
The Davis Road Greyhound Racing Stadium PLC released the following statement:

Clonmel Track Open Meeting
Thursday April 21st, 2022 at Hotel Minella, Clonmel
A very successful Open meeting was held in relation to the future of Clonmel track on Thursday April 21st at the Hotel Minella, Clonmel.
A large Crowd attended which included Owners and Breeders, patrons, Shareholders, and several of Irelands top trainers. It was a very open and frank discussion and all points have been taken on board. Many points were discussed and as a result a number of committees have been set as follows
A proposal to establish a Clonmel Track membership of €100 per year was unanimously passed at the meeting. The directors would like to thank all people for this vote and thank all members who have already contributed. It is aimed that membership year will start on June 1st, 2022 and run until 31st May 2023. Membership will be used to improve and maintain track, upgrade Punters Rest and run Member race meetings with enhanced prizemoney.

Nathan Corden consultant to Towcester greyhound track who travelled from UK
and finally, Myles Roban and Dan Whelan from Enniscorthy. We believe private tracks need to work together and their participation can only enhance that relationship.
