DISCO PANTS produced a superb front-running performance in Friday night's opening semi-final of the John & Mary Killeacle Dowling Memorial A1 575 at the Kingdom Greyhound Stadium.
The even-money favourite came away racing and he easily led around the opening turns. From here, the impressive winner was always in control and he delivered another smart performance, clocking 30.83 and coming home with three lengths to spare over Millridge Lily. A length and a half back to Ballymac Whispa in third place.
GAME OVER EARLY
In the second heat, once Millridge Byrce slipped around the opening corners in front, it was game over.
Donal O'Mahony's dog often comes from behind, in front early, he piled on the pressure throughout. Pulling right away, the 2-1 shot beat Saleen Pearl, by seven lengths, in 30.87. Three-quarters of a length back to Blackies Ranger in third place.
