A massive crowd turned out at Youghal Greyhound Stadium on Saturday for the free family fun day.
Huge credit must go to the track management and Youghal Track Supporters for putting on this fantastic Free day which was well supported. It was great to see so many young people enjoying the kid’s activities.
TWOMEY AND MAGNIER ON THE DOUBLE
On the track, Witches North recorded four straight wins with a really strong display for Liam Twomey, Lisgoold. The 7-2 shot ran on strongly to beat Carefree Nancy, by two lengths, in 29.33. A great way to start the racing action.
Witches Mercury completed the Liam Twomey double after the 11-8 favourite ran down the front running Hollyhill Archie late on. Three-quarters of a length the difference in 29.64.
Goulane Bono powered to victory in the fourth, the opening semi-final of the Ger Gubbins Construction Ltd A6 stake.
The well-backed 13-8 favourite produced a good start to lead and it was all one-way traffic up front. A convincing winning performance in 29.40, for Pat Magnier, Fermoy.
It was a Pat Magnier double after the brilliant display of Millview Royal in race number seven. Overcoming early crowding, the 15-8 favourite displayed huge pace to power to victory, in 29.87, four lengths clear of Ronnies Tipples. (A3).
