EILEEN RYAN
It’s with real sadness we must report the passing of Eileen Ryan who would have been known by so many involved in our sport.
The wife of Paddy Ryan, who was racing manager and general manager at Shelbourne Park for many years, Eileen was ever-present at the track.
She also provided much of the work force at Shelbourne over the years with her sons and daughters all working at the track at various points. A lovely lady, she was great company and was loved by many.
We would likely to take this opportunity to send on our sincerest condolences to her family, her husband Paddy, her children David, Darina, Jennifer, Niamh and Robert, her brothers and sisters Geraldine, Bernadette, Jimmy and Francis, her beloved grandchildren, her extended family and many friends.

Pallas, Gorey, Wexford / Carlingford, Louth / Killenaule, Tipperary
(Eileen died peacefully on the 16th August, 2025 in the loving care of the Staff of St. Lucy's Ward, St. Vincent's Hospital surrounded by her loving family).
Pre-deceased by her infant son Darren. Beloved wife of Paddy and loving mother of David, Darina, Jennifer, Niamh and Robert, cherished sister of Geraldine, Bernadette, Jimmy and Francis. Will be very sadly missed by her husband, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, her 12 grandchildren, son-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Murphy's Funeral Home, The Avenue, Gorey (Eircode Y25 K122) on Tuesday 19th August from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Removal from Murphy's Funeral Home on Wednesdsy 20th August at 10 30 a.m. to St. Michael's Church Gorey for Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. For those who cannot attend, the Mass can be viewed on the following link https://www.stmichaelsgorey.ie/onlinemass
