GREYHOUND RACING IRELAND SHORTLISTED FOR TWO BUSINESS ENERGY ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS

GRI

Greyhound Racing Ireland (GRI) is proud to announce that it has been shortlisted in two categories at the Business Energy Achievement Awards 2025, recognising its continued commitment to energy efficiency, sustainability, and innovation.

GRI has been named a finalist in the following categories:

  • Best Energy Achievement in Tourism & Entertainment
  • Best Energy Achievement in Public Sector

The Business Energy Achievement Awards celebrate organisations across Ireland that are leading the way in energy management and sustainable operations. GRI’s dual shortlisting places it among the top-performing organisations in the country that are taking meaningful steps to reduce environmental impact while driving operational excellence.

Commenting on the announcement, Tim Lucey, CEO of Greyhound Racing Ireland, said: “This recognition is a testament to the hard work and innovation of our teams nationwide. Sustainability is a core focus for GRI, and we are proud to be acknowledged for the positive steps we are taking in energy efficiency across both our public sector operations and our role in the entertainment and tourism industry.”

In recent years, GRI has implemented a range of strategic initiatives to enhance energy performance, reduce carbon emissions, and support Ireland’s broader climate action goals. These include transitioning to energy-efficient lighting, improving building management systems, and embedding sustainability in all capital development projects.

The winners will be announced at the Business Energy Achievement Awards ceremony in late September.
