GRI
Over the last couple of years, the kennel of Andy Lynch and Tim Cliffe has produced a number of high-class greyhounds.
Last Friday night at Curraheen Park, Sure Exile (Broadstrand Bono-Glowing Exile) delivered a stunning 28.74 winning performance, clocking top class finishing sectionals. Just an April puppy, he’s a serious prospect and one to watch going forward.
On Tuesday night in Youghal, litter sister Pretty Exile (Pic right:) Pretty Exile with John Hickey & Stevie Motherway (Y.T.S.C) present the winning trophy to Andy Lynch (winning owner).
made it two wins from two career starts when winning the YTSC ON2/ON3 Stake Final in great style. After catching the eye when winning on debut, the exciting prospect was sent to traps as the short priced 1-3 favourite.
Punters who took the short odds never had a moments worry as the winner displayed massive early speed and although Cowboy Terry made late gains, she still ran out a four and a half length winner, in 29.34.
With that huge early zip, the impressive winner is another exciting talent for the kennel.
LOOKING FORWARD TO THE IRISH GREYHOUND DERBY
Of course, Andy and Tim will be looking forward to the Irish Greyhound Derby as Timmys Bucks will represent the kennel. A real classy performer over the last year or so, he has featured in plenty of big competitions and he has some magnificent runs in the book.
It’s worth mentioning that Road Exile started off his racing career with Lynch in Youghal and he went on to be a real star for trainer Pat Buckley. Ivanexile was another to start as the seaside venue for Lynch and he went on to win the Birmingham Cup at Perry Barr.
Andy and is grandson Tim are a great team. Best of luck in the Derby.
