SURE EXILE (Broadstrand Bono-Glowing Exile) went in to plenty of notebooks after the exciting youngster made a most impressive winning debut at Curraheen Park on Friday night.
Over the last couple of years, Andy Lynch has produced some top class greyhounds and this is another one.
Only an April baby, it was a performance on the very highest order. It took a couple of strides to get going but once he did, he showed awesome pace. Pulling clear of the field down the back straight, he clocked outstanding finishing sectionals to win in style. It was a wide margin success in 28.74.
You’d have to think he’s a serious prospect going forward and the brilliantly bred puppy is one to watch for the weeks and months ahead. His litter sister also looks really good and she can make it two straight wins in today’s final at Youghal track.
Madasabrush (Grangeview Ten-Millroad Susie) looked primed for his debut and he scored for David Finn. The November puppy has plenty of experience in trial runs and he exploded from traps, clocking a superb 3.30 sectional, to make all the running in 28.66. A huge display of early pace from the brilliant winner.
