Country & Western followers will have been tuned into Glór Tíre in recent weeks on TG4 and there is a familiar face involved in this year’s talent show in the shape of greyhound enthusiast, Aisling Rafferty.
The Rafferty Family have a massive involvement in the greyhound industry and their greyhounds run under the ‘Millrose’ prefix. A recent success for the family came in last year’s Treaty Cup final at Limerick when Millrose Melody raced to a brilliant victory in a time of 18.68 for the 350-yard distance.
Indeed, Aishling herself worked at Thurles Greyhound Stadium for a time and has since developed into one of the Country's most talented music stars. Mentored by Mike Denver in this year’s talent show, Glór Tíre reaches its semi final stages tonight at 9.30pm on TG4 and you can cast your vote for Aishling by downloading the Glór Tíre app, which is available on the Google Play Store.
