EXCITING GET IT RIGHT LIVES UP TO HIS NAME ON DEBUT

Ian Fortune

Derby winning handler Ollie Bray has been sending out plenty of winners in recent weeks including the winner of the Islandbridge Open Sprint, Gallant Knight, and Newbridge Derby winner Prince Lucius.

It seems he will have more ammunition at his disposal going forward because on Saturday night he debuted the ultra-exciting Get It Right at Dundalk.

The son of Derby champion Newinn Taylor had shown promise in qualifying, clocking 21.39 for the 400yd trip at Dundalk but he went considerably faster in his first race. Making a fast start from trap three, the October ’21 whelp was dominant throughout before coming home with almost three lengths in hand in a brilliant 21.12.

It ranks as one of the fastest ever debuts at Dundalk and it’s clear he is a young greyhound with a very bright future. He is the latest member of the litter to impress and it comes as no surprise as their dam No Recollection was a star on the track herself. She captured the Champion Bitch Stake at Thurles in early 2019 before running up the Sporting Press Irish Oaks behind Killmacdonagh.

Have no doubt, you will be hearing plenty more about Get It Right in the future and we look forward to seeing where he turns up.
