CARRIGOON MIA DELIVERS STUNNING FRONT RUNNING WINNING DISPLAY

Carrigoon Mia went quickest in the quarter finals of the Gertie Power & Joyce O'Regan Memorial A2 at Waterford on Saturday night.

Noel Casey's lady has stunning early pace and the well fancied 1-2 favourite made every yard of the running to win in fantastic style. A superb 28.63 winning run, four lengths clear of Debs Rally in second place.

Hitting the front soon after the second corner, Rosegarland Niro impressed with a powerful winning display in the closing heat. The 5-1 shot displayed massive gears up front as he delivered a fine 28.72 winning display, three lengths clear of Banba Brightside.

In the opening heat, Slaneyside Hanks returned to winning form when clocking 28.91 for Derek Kehoe. Keeping on well in the closing stages, he beat Freedom Sonia, by half a length.

In the third heat, Rathfalla Logan came out on top, doing his best running in the second half of Georgie Roche. On top in the final strides, he beat Nowayned, by a short head, in 28.98.
