CORK SALES REVIEW

Barry Drake

STANDING CHARGE (Droopys Sydney-Another Blonde) was the sales topper in Curraheen Park on Saturday morning as the bright prospect, a July puppy, reached €4,100 after clocking 29.35 on a wet and slow-running Cork circuit. It was a really nice performance in tough conditions.

Deelser Kevin (Broadstrand Bono-Fair Act) was another to impress as the June puppy displayed plenty of early pace to make all the running, in 29.60. He made €3,400.

Litter sister Dellser Mia impressed when making it three straight trial wins, in 29.51. The exciting June puppy was a €2,900 purchase.

€2,900 was the price for Cash For Elsanto (Droopys Sydney-Ballydoyle Buzz). A two-time race winner, the flying early pacer impressed with another smart winning display.

Hurricane Charlie (Good News-Boleys Ace) clocked a sizzling 3.26 sectional and the March puppy ran a big race to finish second behind Aldworth Roco. Charlie made €2,700 while Aldworth Roco (Deerjet Sydney-Starcash Annie) was sold for €2,200.

Another litter sister to the above two, Be My Belle showed plenty of promise in defeat and she was moved on for €1,300.

A recent 29.48 winner around course and distance, Aghaburren Bess came from behind to win her trial and the daughter of Droopys Sydney and Aghaburren Model, a May puppy, was sold for €2,000.
