GALWAY GREYHOUND STADIUM LEADS THE WAY IN SUSTAINABILITY WITH RE-TURN BINS

GRI

Galway Greyhound Stadium proudly announces its pioneering initiative as the first stadium in Ireland to install Re-turn bins at its venue. This innovative step underscores the stadium's commitment to environmental sustainability and community support.

The Re-turn bins, strategically placed throughout the stadium, encourage patrons to recycle their bottles. All recyclable bottles collected will be returned, and the associated recycling fees will be donated to the Irish Retired Greyhound Trust. This initiative not only promotes eco-friendly practices but also supports the work of the IRGT as they support the rehoming of greyhounds once their racing career is over.

"We are thrilled to lead this green initiative and contribute to a cause close to our hearts," said Des Kelly, Hospitality Manager of Galway Greyhound Stadium. "We hope our efforts inspire other venues to adopt similar practices."
