Abigails Alex produced a big run at Shelbourne Park on Friday evening to take the feature, the final of the WWW.GRIRELAND.IE A3 525.

Legolas was a hot favourite after a stunning semi final run but a slow start, allied with a massive run from the eventual winner ended his hopes. 

In contrast, Abigails Alex did everything right, posting a 2.03 sectional top dominate throughout for Darren McCusker and handler Kurtis Bain. The promising son of Premier Fantasy and Geelo Lu Lu has fine early speed s highlighted by a 17.83 debuted effort around Drumbo Park and he clearly sees out 525yds strongly.

Showing no signs of mercy at any point in the contest, he built a sizeable lead to the third turn before cruising home six and a half lengths clear of the fast finishing Legolas in 28.39. After just four starts Abigails Alex has posted a fast sprint time and now a tremendous run over four bends. He is clearly one to keep an eye on the in the future.
