DJ (JOHN) O’CONNOR

Come on Ranger Kennells, Ballinaharda, Old Parish, Dungarvan, Co. Waterford.

On 27th September 2025, peacefully, in the tender and loving care of the nursing staff at Waterford University Hospital and the Palliative Care Unit, DJ (John), predeceased by his loving parents DJ and Bridie O’Connor, brother Sean and sister Kathleen Cole.

Deeply regretted by his partner Bernie, nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

John was a fantastic trainer and was well known within greyhound circles. He enjoyed and produced some top class greyhounds over the years. Come On Ranger winning the 1994 National Produce Stakes at Clonmel was one of the standout moments.

Reposing at Drohans Funeral Home, Dungarvan

on Monday evening 29th September from 6.00pm to 7.30pm.

Cremation Service will take place privately.
