LYNCH LANDS BIG RACE DOUBLE AT CURRAHEEN PARK

Barry Drake

Huge credit must go to the Curraheen Park Supporters Club and the track management for putting on a wonderful night of racing with fantastic additional prize money throughout the night.

LOCAL TRAINER KIERAN LYNCH ENJOYED A FANTASTIC DOUBLE.

Parkview Cash (Pic left) was first up when winning the €2,000 to the winner Michael Cahill Memorial Open for Eoin Ivers, John Quinn, and John Maher. The well-supported 5-1 winner took over from Swords Style at the opening corner, and from there, he always looked good. Flying down the back, he pulled right away, and he beat a strong field of runners easily. A 28.36 winning run, five lengths clear of Moorstown Knight.

Sirius Alpha, (Pic right) trained by Lynch for the Sirius Syndicate, completed the double when winning the €2,000 Bar One Racing Irish Greyhound Laurels Trial Stake. A recent winner of the A1 Kasko Derby, the Sirius Syndicate-owned runner, a 3-1 shot, made no mistakes when stepping into open company for the first time. All about early speed, the in-form tracker led early, and he made all the running to beat the fast finishing and eye-catching Born To Perform, by a length and a half, in 28.43.

Barefoot On Fire, trained by Paul Hennessy for owners Bryan and Kathleen Murphy, came home in front to win the €2,000 New Barking Buzz App Mini Open 525. Driving a great opening corner to slip around in front, the even-money favourite was strong up front. Droopys Sort was trying hard all the way, but the winner kept finding, winning by a length and a half, in 28.23.

Curious Callie (Pic left) (The Other Kobe-Swift Magnetic) made it three wins from as many starts in the final of the €1,750 to the winner Jack, Mary, and Brian Finn Memorial O2/ON3 Stake. Pat Noonan's 4-7 favourite didn't produce her usual quick start, and she was last early as Admiral Bluffer led. Tracking well around the opening corners, the March puppy pulled out all the stops from the turns for home, keeping on bravely, the bright prospect beat Riverside Hazza, by two lengths, in 29.04.

Miami Maggie took the opener, the €1,000 to the winner Local Trainers A4 Dual Distance Stake Final, winning for Michael Spillane. The 5-2 shot produced a quick start to lead, and from there, the impressive was always in control. Displaying plenty of speed throughout, it was a 29.99 winning performance, four and a half lengths clear of Bohermore Blue.

In the closing race, an A0, Valleys Angel delivered a lovely front-running winning performance for trainer Pat Kiely and owners the Thirteen Hurlers On The Ditch Syndicate. A flying 3.26 sectional put her in pole position early, and she was always doing enough up front. Da Tapper Flynn flew home, making it a 1-2 for Kiely. Two lengths the margin, in 28.33.
