WELL NAMED BACK ON TRACK MAKES NO MISTAKES IN HANNAFIN STAKES FINAL

Barry Drake

The well named Back On Track came out on top in the feature at the Kingdom Greyhound Stadium on Friday night, the €3,000 to the winner final of the A2 Hannfin Stakes.

It was a wonderful competition over the last couple of weeks with the Michael Lyons owned and trained 6-1 shot coming out on top in the feature final.

Hitting the crossbar in recent weeks, there was no mistakes this time around as the winner produced a flying start to slip around in front.

Displaying massive early speed, the bright prospect was going along nicely up front. Keeping on well at the head of affairs, it was a maiden success on the night that mattered.

Despite not winning in five previous starts, the February puppy had strong form in the book and had a number of huge runs in defeat. Charlie And Ben was second, four and a half lengths back.

A brilliant winning performance, clocking 28.47 and she’s one to watch going forward.
