BALLYMAC BRIAR, trained by Liam Dowling for Father Maurice Brick, ran out an outstanding winner of the €5,000 to the winner Eric Browne Memorial Kingdom Derby on Friday night.
The 7-4 second favourite produced a dream start along the inside of the track and once he slipped around in front, it was game over. Displaying awesome pace up front, the classy performer was soon clear and he ran out a convincing winner.
A superb display on the clock, posting 28.13 and coming home seven and a half lengths clear of Jim By Two.
IN OTHER RACES
In other races, Kerogue Lady ran out a fine winner of race number eight, an AA0. Trained by Patrick O’Connor for owners Ashleigh and Elaine McManus, the 13-8 joint favourite delivered a superb front running display, to record a 28.29 winning run.
In the previous race, the €1,000 to the winner RCETS Unraced Stake Final, Crouchs Duke (5-2) ran out a smart winner for Kieran Houlihan. The May youngster completed a wonderful three timer when showing real pace to come from behind and win in 29.00.
