BALLYMAC SETANTA TO MISS ST. LEGER ASSIGNMENT

Peter Farrell

After a superb opening-round performance in the 1XBET Irish St. Leger 550 at Limerick, unfortunate news emerged last night that Ballymac Setanta will be unable to take any further part in the Classic after sustaining an injury.

The Liam Dowling-trained star came out on top in a thrilling buckle with Bockos Gold in the opening round and his absence will undoubtedly be a major blow to connections. We wish the Curraheen track record holder a speedy recovery and hope to see him back on the track in the near future.

Trap three in heat four will now be vacant.
