BANTER BOOST, trained by Owen McKenna for owners Peadar and Sarah O’Dwyer, was again the star of the show at Kilcohan Park on Saturday night as the semi finals of the €5,000 to the winner Deise Plastering Novice 730 Stake took centre stage.
This was another fantastic run from the short priced 4-9 favourite. Once he led early, it was game over for the son of Roxholme Olaf and Banter Breeze.
Showing massive pace up front, it was a performance of the highest order as the impressive winner came home with eleven lengths to spare over Sunset Shannon, in 40.47.A further four lengths back to Lemon Dot in third place.
SOON IN FRONT
In the opening semi final, Priceless On Fire (Pat C Sabbath-Highview Jayne) came home in front to win for trainer Paul Hennessy and owners Bryan and Kathleen Murphy.
The 2-1 was in front soon after the opening corners and the smart winner went on to clock 40.79.
Regimental was finishing well for second, a length back at the line. Rapido Bob was six lengths back in third.
PADDY SHARKEY BOOKMAKERS & W.T.S.C SEMI FINALS
Twilight Draft (Magical-Twilight Target) went quick on the clock in the semi finals of the Paddy Sharkey and W.T.S.C A2/A3 Stake.
Owned and trained by Dominic Timmons, the 4-1 shot caught with eye when delivering a superb 28.78 winning run. Keeping on well throughout, that’s three wins in her last four outings.
Augusta Fairway ran on well for second, two lengths back. Nans Lark a length back in third.
In the opening semi final, Nans Sparrow (Droopys Sydney-Nans Kate) landed the spoils for Maurice Whittle. The 6-4 favourite was making it back to back wins with another smart winning effort. In front heading down the back straight, the inform tracker then stayed on nicely to beat Jacktavern Tiger, by two and a half lengths, in 28.97.
A length and a half back to Jetstream Velvet in third place.
