COMPETITIVE FARE AT KILKENNY

Ian Fortune

This evening’s card at Kilkenny looks competitive, with a number of finals up for decision and the opening round of the KKY Track Supporters Club A3 525 also likely to produce some exciting action.

VICKY GETS NOD IN A4 DECIDER

The Fundraisers @ Kilkenny Track A4 Final brings together a well-matched field with very little separating the six on last week’s clock.

Ratchies Borris was marginally fastest last week, winning in 29.97 on a track rated .60 slow but Volcano Vicky gets the nod from a kind draw in two.

She can race prominently and make full use of her inside draw to see off Ratchies Borris and Lemon Paris.

BARRY READY TO SOBER UP RIVALS

The McCalmont Cup A2 Final looks one of the highlights of the night. A high-quality contest with a number of improving trackers on view, Sober Barry is chosen to emerge on top, further enhancing his already impressive record of four wins from six starts.

He posted an estimated 28.98 in the semis and seems likely to come on for that run. If doing so, he may just improve past fastest semi-final winner Max Wago. Jims Gem is also respected in a contest where the early exchanges will have a huge bearing on the contest.

There are four heats of the A3 Supporters Club 525 and the cation should be very competitive.
