Trained by John Hickey for owner Tadhg O'Loughlin, DOWER MADDIE (Fromposttopillar-Maddieluluver) landed the feature at Curraheen Park on Saturday night, the €1,000 to the winner Colin Ronayne Memorial ON2/ON3 Dual Distance final.
Producing a dream start along the inside of the track, the 3-1 shot flew around the opening corners in front. Trumpers Snoop was showing pace on the back straight, and he got within a length at the third corner; however, the one in front wasn't for stopping. Keeping on well, the bright prospect, an August puppy, galloped strongly to the line, clocking 28.96, three lengths clear of Trumpers.
