***BOCKOS GOLD SHONES IN LEGER PREP TRIAL***

Bockos Gold was last seen capturing the BOYLE Sports Irish Greyhound Derby at Shelbourne Park and the superstar tracker is clearly in fine fettle ahead of his competitive return, having lit up Limerick in a sensational trial this morning.

An exceptional winner of the Derby in mid-September, Bockos Gold had already demonstrated his liking for Limerick during the Con and Annie Kirby Memorial earlier this year and all roads now appear to lead towards a tilt at the 1XBet Irish St. Leger, which gets underway in just over a week's time.

The Graham Holland-trained powerhouse returned to the Dock Road circuit this morning and wasted little time in laying down a marker, scorching around the Limerick circuit in a phenomenal 27.85, with blistering splits of 4.07 and 15.75.

It was a remarkable display from the reigning Derby champion and one that suggests he will take some stopping when the €30,000-to-the-winner Classic gets underway.

Elsewhere, Low Profile, who landed the Derby consolation final at Shelbourne Park, also made an appearance on the trial sheet, posting a smart 28.43 of his own.
