GREYHOUND RACING IRELAND PARTICIPATE IN REDUCE YOUR USE CAMPAIGN

Earlier today Greyhound Racing Ireland announced their participation in the Governments "Reduce Your Use" energy efficiency campaign for 2023/2024.  

Reduce your Use is a joint initiative of SEAI and the Office of Public Works which supports public bodies to run a winter energy awareness campaign for staff and to undertake recommended actions on heating, lighting, operating hours and audits/O&M checks.

Derek Frehill, Director of Racing & Climate & Sustainability Champion said, "The role of our teams around the country in reducing energy use is vital to the success of our participation in the Reduce Your Use campaign for 2023/2024.  We have introduced energy-saving actions that can be applied both at work and at home, and are aiming for a 15% energy saving across stadia & HQ by 31st March 2024."

The participation in this campaign forms part of Greyhound Racing Irelands Climate & Sustainability plans for the organisation.

Greyhound Racing Ireland are aiming for a 15% energy saving across stadia and HQ by March 2024.
