Lucy Roche became one of the youngest winning greyhound trainers in Ireland when ‘Hazelhill Fawn’ won over the Easter Bank Holiday Weekend at Limerick.

Lucy, aged 18, only recently took over from her grandfather James at Lurriga Kennels in Cappagh. (Pic below)

Owned by Michael O’Connell of Askeaton, ‘Fawn won by four lengths the Joe Mescall Construction ON 525 in a time of 28.75.

He was retuned at odds of 5/2.

The race was among the highlights on an exciting card in support of Inagh-Kilnamona GAA from Clare.
