MAISIE SIMPSON BENEFIT NIGHT AT LIFFORD

Peter Farrell

This Sunday, July 7th, will see Lifford Greyhound Stadium host a Gala meeting in aid of fourteen-year-old Maisie Simpson.

For those unfamiliar with Maisie’s story, she has been bravely fighting Hodgkin Lymphoma and there has been various fundraising efforts across the Northwest in recent months in order to assist Maisie’s Family with important funds in their battle against the disease.

This weekend is now the turn of Lifford Greyhound Stadium to contribute towards this worthwhile cause and all monies raised will help towards the cost of travelling, medical and expenses.

In a change to the regular schedule at Lifford, the track will be racing at an earlier time on Sunday and the GALA evening is scheduled to commence at 3PM, with the first race off at 4PM. It will consist of a Family Fun Day and there will of course be live music straight after the final race.

The track would encourage a large attendance on the day with some fine racing also anticipated. Entries are currently being accepted for the GALA meeting and a list of the advertised races on offer are listed here - Upcoming Race Card Summary (grireland.ie)
