NOMINEES FOR 2025 NATIONAL GREYHOUND AWARDS

The nominations for the National Greyhound Awards were decided upon last week and it’s our great pleasure to announce them below. It’s an exciting time for those that saw their greyhounds nominated in the various categories and it’s no surprise to see the Derby, Oaks, Irish Sprint Cup and Corn Cuchulainn winners all making the short list.

2025 was a tremendous year on the track and the quality of the nominees across each of the seven categories is evidence of the fact. Cheap Sandwiches, Faypoint Ranger and Seven Beach are the three worthy nominees for Dog of the Year, while Carrigmore Freya, Magical Mag and Magical On Fire were all stars, earning their nomination for the Bitch of the Year.

It has to be said, while everyone connected to each of the nominees will be hoping to hear their name called out at the awards, each of those nominated are already winners and worthy of their recognition.
