PABLO IN CRUISE CONTROL IN THE FINAL OF THE DANNY CORKERY MEMORIAL

DROOPYS PABLO, trained by Johnny Linehan for owners the All Angels Syndicate, delivered a stunning front running winning performance to win Saturday’s feature at Curraheen Park, the €5,000 to the winner Danny Corkery Memorial A3/A4 Final.

The 6-4 shot took up the running early doors and the in-form tracker flew around the opening corners in front. The outcome was never in any doubt as Pablo stayed on strongly to beat Killavullen Jet, by six lengths, in 28.72. Millridge Nando a further length and a half back in third.

In the following race, an A1, after a couple of fine runs in defeat, Ardrath Ali returned to winning form for trainer John Kiely and owner Richenda Kelly. The even money favourite produced an explosive start to lead and the classy performer came home two and a half lengths clear of Keplar Khufu, in 28.74.

In the ninth, an AA0, Riverside Scotch made a winning return to racing action when delivering a strong performance to win for trainer Graham Holland and owner Rachel Holland. Tracking the early pace of Moorstown Brett for most of the journey, the 3-1 winner put on strong hike straight run to land the spoils, in 31.50. Da Tapper Flynn was flying home to get within three quarters of a length.

In the closing race, an A0 550, Rural Ana made the most of a good winning opportunity when scoring for trainer Graham Holland and owners the Scots Clan Syndicate. In front at the opening corner, the even money favourite displayed big pace on the back straight to take control. Aherla Rocco finished well to get within four and a half lengths, in 29.70.
