RAMSBOTTOM SEMIS THE FEATURE AT KILKENNY

The semi-finals of the Billy & Mary Ramsbottom Memorial ON2 are the feature of tonight’s action at Kilkenny. The draw has thrown three of the four opening round heat winners into the opening semi-final and they also happen to be drawn side by side on the inside of the track.   

 

DIEGO SET TO SCORE

Hello Diego went fastest of the trio when coming home clear in 29.09 a fortnight ago and he has been handed the trap one draw again. The Paul Hennessy trained star looks likely to make a bold bid. Lemon Ted overcame traffic to win in 29.63 last time and will likely improve but Sober Secret can offer the most resistance to Hello Diego.

Sober Secret weighs in at a whopping ninety-three pounds and is clearly very useful after winning last week in 29.23. He was actually set to win his opening round assignment a week earlier only for hare malfunction at the final turn. The extra experience may stand to him. 

 

DREAM TO OBLIGE

Pookies Lothbrok is the sole opening round scorer in the second semi but he may have to settle for a minor role behind Cossies Dream. The latter chased home Sober Secret last week, clocking 29.37 in the process. A repeat of that effort may be enough to see him come home in front. The well bred Jackeen Chick and Sober Hero are open to much improvement and
