KILLOUGH SNIPER (Pestana-Bees Dream) delivered a brave performance to win the feature at Curraheen Park on Saturday night, the €7,500 to the winner Pegasus Cup.
Owned and trained by Derek Loughnane, the 3-1 winner turned second as outsider Vedfield Tiger was setting strong fractions up front. It was game on down the back straight and the winner hit the front at the third corner. Keeping on gamely up front, the determined winner got the better of the early leader, by four lengths, in 28.66.
Favourite Tetra Destiny was a short head behind the second in third.
GOGREYHOUNDRACING A3 575
In the opener, the €1,2000 to the winner GoGreyhoundRacing A3 575, Father Jack (Slippy Cian-Moonlight Dancer) returned to top form with a big run for Donal Wall. The 3-1 shot was in front soon after the opening corner and he went on to beat Gortkelly Love, by three quarters of a length, in 31.51.
In the sixth, an A1, Valhalla Vision (Ballymac Cashout-Ballymac Merkle), trained by Ryan McCarthy for owners Darren and Sean O’Hea, put on a powerful performance to win in 28.56. The classy performance produced one of her big late runs to beat Millridge Cindy, by half a length.
In the closing race, Jacktavern Boom (Droopys Sydney-Droopys Dancer) dug deep to win for trainer David Byrne and owners the Pillar Syndicate. The 4-6 favourite did it the hard way when coming from off the pace to win, in 42.11, half a length clear of Bogger Callie.
