It was no surprise to see the price of Broadstrand Syd winning the Bar One Racing Irish Sprint Cup at Dundalk cut considerably after a scarcely believable run in the opening round.
The Johnny Linehan trained star clocked a sensational 20.57 to smash the track record for the 400yd trip and he is now just 2-1 with sponsors Bar One Racing.
Ballinakill Alf may have been only third behind Broadstrand Syd in the opening round but he remains the second choice in the market at 6-1. Defending champion Carrick Aldo was on the mark last week and he is next in at 7-1.
Graham Holland has a good hand and two of his team come next with Romao Taylor available at 10-1 after a paw-perfect display last week, while Derby champion The Other Kobe is 12-1. Trinity Junior made a successful sprinting debut last week and is now just 14-1 for outright glory, while Road Exile is on the same mark.
