TED APPEALS IN THE SHELBOURNE FEATURE

There are two finals up for decision at Shelbourne Park this evening with the feature being final of the www.barkingbuzz.ie A4. There’s an impressive €2,500 on offer to the winner and recent form suggests that either Borna Ted or Overreacted will take the prize.

Borna Ted took off in the opening round, winning in a rapid 28.26. Seven days on, in last week’s semi-finals, Kate Dwan’s powerful galloper overcame a tardy start to come from fourth for a superb victory in 28.55.

He would have started a long odds-on favourite had Overreacted not shown plenty of promise in winning the other semi-final. A supremely well-bred daughter of Droopys Sydney and Droopys Mandolin, she stepped up considerably on previous form to win in 28.61. The manner in which she won suggested there is much more to come but she may well need to show it this evening with Borna Ted running with such purpose at present.

NO GUESSING FOR GREAT

The second final up for decision is that of the Book Your Trials Online A2 525.

This is a far more open affair but slight preference is for Great Guess. She missed the start and found herself at the tail of the field in the semis before running on well to take second behind Emilias Angel.

Great Guess has won over two bends in the past so it’s safe to say she can go up stronger than last time and is chosen to turn within striking distance this evening. She can assert down the back straight to see off Emilias Angel and Borna Star.
