There’s a very decent €1,300 on offer to the winner of the TIME Greyhound Nutrition A3 525 at Dundalk this evening.
The star of the semi-finals was unquestionably Unquestionable but she is a likely non-runner having gone through the sales ring at Sheffield during the week.
That will leave the door open for the other finalists but picking a winer with any real confidence isn’t easy. Indeed, there is very little between the remaining runners on recent clocks.
SAPPHIRE CHOSEN TO SHINE BRIGHT
Each of the quintet improved on their opening round clocks last week with Westway Adolf going quickest with a 28.74 return as he got up late to deny Ballyhoe Natalee by a neck. Danikas Sapphire also moved well, overcoming early traffic to chase home Unquestionable in 28.82. With a clear passage tonight, she could certainly go faster.
Tell on Ralulla, Saraghs Sadie and possibly a reserve will complete the line-up. Despit suffering defeat last week, Danikas Sapphire is chosen to come out on top. She may need to sharpen up at boxes but has loads of pace and can make full use of the long Dundalk back straight to put herself into a winning position.
She is chosen just ahead of Westway Adolf and possible pace-setter Ballyhoe Natalee.
BOOM AND FERRARI TO FIRE
Elsewhere on the card, there are two semi-finals of the TIME Puppy & Sapling A4 525. Stefans Boom and Saratoga Ferrari set the standard last week and both are chosen to come home in front in their respective assignments.
