Kilkenny is set for a busy weekend of action with racing on Friday and Sunday. The €20,000 Track Bookmakers & KGOBA Festival of Racing will take place on Sunday evening.

There will be five finals up for decision on the night, while a top-class supporting card will include two superb open races and a couple of very competitive A1 525s.

There is excellent prize money for each of the finals and the one-off races which should result in some outstanding action. Sunday’s meeting will also act as a fundraiser for the coursing clubs in Carlow and Kilkenny. The opening race is set to get underway at 7.30pm.

FUNDRAISER THIS FRIDAY

There is also racing this Friday, July 12th with a number of sponsored 12-dog stakes featuring on the card.

The finals of these sweepstake will take place on Friday, July 19th which happens to be another big fundraiser, this time for Dunnamaggin GAA Club.

Owners and trainers should take note that the €12,000 Boylesports A3/A4 Bitch 525 commences on Friday, July 26th. It is sure to prove popular with back-graders permitted. The entry is open for 36 bitches and the stake boasts a whopping €5,000 winner’s prize.
