ANOTHER BRISK KILKENNY SALES

Given how busy it has been over the past couple of weeks we were always going to miss a couple of things and one thing we certainly failed to report was the latest Kilkenny Sales almost a fortnight ago.

Yet again, this latest sales was lively and successful.

The total sales turnover was an impressive €65,000 with an equally impressive clearance rate of 95%. In fact, just 3 greyhounds presented on the bench failed to sell. The top price paid on the was €5,100 for the Thomas Jordan owned Oakfield Storm. The March ’22 unraced daughter of Ballymac Best and Oakfield Madison won her trial in 29.26.

Fastest time of the day was recorded by the Willie Hanlon owned Ballygur Tana. The 3 times race winner won his trial in 29.12 and sold for €4,300. Effernogue Toby, an unraced October ’21 whelp, won his trial in 29.18 and was sold for €3,550.

Nicky Or, an unraced Feb ’22 whelp, won her trial in 29.66 and sold for €3,500. Other notable sales included Liberty Port (€2,800)  Robbies Mini (€2,700), Liberty View (€2,550), Blackstone Bafta (€2,500), Fenians Way ( €2,400) Bit View Eddie (€2,200), Misterin Mac (€2,200) &  Modus Operandi (€2,200).
