MASSIVE CROWDS TURN UP AT YOUGHAL TRACK TO SUPPORT NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS NIGHT

Youghal Greyhound Track was the place to be on Monday night as massive crowds enjoyed some fantastic graded racing along with plenty of free entertainment for the kids.

It was a special night at the seaside venue with a packed house enjoying our great sport.
All 13 races on the night were sponsored so with additional prize money on offer, it really was the night to win. The Youghal Track Supporters Club made a presentation to each winner on the night and as always, that went down really well.

NONEVERNOMORE BACK TO TOP FORM
Nonevernomore, trained by Bernie Connolly for Thomas Hannon, delivered a high class performance to win the fourth, the Staley Vegas Peggy Kelly Sprint winner 2005 and Sycamore Dan Bar One Sprint Cup winner 2004 A2.

After producing a flying start, the 11-10 favourite was in total control right away and in truth, the outcome was never in any doubt. A superb 28.98 winning run, three lengths clear of Murleys Joker.

STRONG FINISH FROM SLANEYSIDE RYAN
The feature of the night was the €1,000 to the winner Edward Donnelly Memorial 525 and that was won by Slaneyside Ryan, for the Thurles kennel of Derek Kehoe.

 The 7-2 shot delivered a stunning performance to come from the well-off pace and reel in favourite Fancy Tulip. A powerful display to win in 28.92, three lengths clear of the Fancy Tulip.

DIXIE HAD ALL THE ANSWERS 
Dower Dixie, trained by John Hickey for Tadhg O'Loughlin, put on a brilliant display to win the 12th, the Knockglass Billy Laurels Champion 2012 and Boherduff Light Laurels Champion 2004 A2 550, in 30.58, at odds of 4-5.

In front early on, Dixie was soon joined and briefly headed by Garryvoe Anton, however, the strong running winner had all the answers late on as he dug deep and pulled out all the stops to land the spoils by two lengths.

OUTSTANDING
It was an outstanding couple of months for Youghal as large crowds enjoyed racing over the summer months.

Huge credit must go to all involved and there's no doubt that they broke all records on Monday night.
