FAUL ON THE DOUBLE AT FAMILY FUN EVENING IN YOUGHAL

FAUL ON THE DOUBLE AT FAMILY FUN EVENING IN YOUGHAL

A large crowd enjoyed a wonderful night of racing and entertainment at Youghal track on Monday.

Huge credit must go to all involved in the Youghal Track Supporters Club for the sponsorship of the Free Admission, baloon magic and face painting which proved very popular on the night.

On the track, local Youghal trainer Jake Faul enjoyed a fantastic double.

Marlfield Dougal ran out an outstanding winner of the seventh, an A0-A1, for Sean and Jake Faul. The 11-2 winner showed plenty of early zip and once he led around, it was game set and match. A powerful display for the local kennel in 29.21, two lengths clear of Kittys News.

It was a Faul double after the runaway success of Biding Time in race 13. A super strong display to win, in 29.75, at odds of 5-4. The improving winner tracked well around the opening corners and he showed plenty of speed to win easily.

STRONG RUN
Slaneyside Vardy beat a strong field of runners in the fourth of the night.

Owned by Derek Kehoe, Thurles, the 11-4 shot produced one of his best starts and the strong running tracker pulled out all the stops to beat the fast finishing Garryvoe Anton, by half a length, in 29.23.
