BEACH WARMS UP IN SENSATIONAL STYLE AT LIMERICK

BEACH WARMS UP IN SENSATIONAL STYLE AT LIMERICK

Peter Farrell

Despite being knocked out of the Tralee’s Juvenile Classic in unfortunate circumstances, Ryhope Beach was arguably the one to take out of the prestigious unraced and he stretched his legs brilliantly in a preparation trial for the Con & Annie Kirby last night at Limerick.

Alison Bandurak’s charge, trained by Michael O’Donovan, is likely to feature at the top-end of the outright betting for the €80,000 to the winner stake and we saw why last night as he flew around the Munster venue in an exceptional 28.10. There is little doubt that the May 21’ whelp will likely shave another few lengths off that clock with regular exposure to the Limerick circuit and it only adds to the excitement of the upcoming Kirby, which is due to commence in just six days’ time.

A reminder to all that the draw for the opening round will be streamed live on the Limerick Greyhound Stadium Facebook page tomorrow, 20th March, at 3PM.
