RÁSAÍOCHT CON ÉIREANN / GREYHOUND RACING IRELAND SEEKS INPUT ON STRATEGIC PLAN FOR 2024-2028

GRI

Rásaíocht Con Éireann / Greyhound Racing Ireland (RCÉ/GRI) is currently in the process of drafting our Strategic Plan for the next five years, covering the period from 2024 to 2028. As part of this crucial phase, we are seeking input from you, our stakeholders, to help shape the future development of our sport and industry.

Our previous Strategic Plan, spanning from 2018 to 2022, focused on seven key strategic pillars aimed at enhancing various aspects of our industry.  Looking ahead to the next five-year period, we are streamlining our strategic focus to four key pillars:

Animal Welfare and Transparency
Financial Sustainability and Rightsizing
Sport Access and Public Excitement
Enhanced Operating Model

These pillars reflect our commitment to ensuring a world-class, vibrant greyhound racing industry that is both commercially viable and well-regulated while providing an exciting entertainment experience for all stakeholders.

As we develop our draft plan, we invite your valuable input on the current state of the industry, including its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Additionally, we welcome your insights on how to address these matters within the framework of our next strategic plan, taking into consideration the resources available.

In summary, we encourage stakeholders to share their perspectives on any aspect of the greyhound racing industry. Your submissions will be highly valued and considered integral to the development of our Strategic Plan.

Please submit your feedback via email to feedback@grireland.ie by Friday 29th March 2024.

Thank you for your ongoing support and collaboration as we work together to shape the future of greyhound racing in Ireland.
