SEEK THE KINGDOM THE CURRAHEEN PARK BANKER

Barry Drake

The second round of the €7,500 to the winner Spring Derby are the feature races in Curraheen Park tonight.

Seek The Kingdom, trained by Paul Hennessy for owners Gerry and Miriam Meaney, set the standard in the opening round, and another all-the-way winning performance is expected in the second heat. A superb 28.49 winner last time, he's drawn well in trap two and the classy performer should go very close. Faypoint Maureen, trained by Graham Holland for Patricia Flanagan, is the obvious danger. She caught the eye in the opening round, scoring in 28.69 and she has the pace to make a big impact in this.

 BACK TO BACK VICTORIES

In the fourth heat, Move Too Soon is selected to record back-to-back wins. Trained by Kieran Lynch for owners for the Lenght And A Half Syndicate, the pacey performer returned to top form last time, posting 28.52 and winning in style. The Kieran Lynch kennel can do little wrong at the moment and the selection has the draw along the rails to make every yard of the running.

NARROW VOTE

The Denis McCarthy Memorial A3 Final is another good contest and Samba Bailey gets a narrow vote for Michael Cahill. The selection has returned to top form in recent times and if producing one of her better starts, she would make them all go. A paw-perfect display will be needed, however, she is very capable at this level and a big performance is expected. Pat O'Halloran's Mint Aero was six lengths in front of Samba Bailey last week, clocking 28.77 and she's a huge danger, however, the draw in trap four is not ideal and a flying start will be needed to slip around in front.
