TWO MAGNIFICENT PERFORMANCES IN SEMI FINALS OF THE SELECT STAKES

DROOPYS FIDGET, trained by Robert Gleason for Paul Allen and John Gilson, recorded back to back victories in the second semi final of the TIME Greyhound Nutrition Select Stakes at Kilcohan Park on Saturday night.

It was game over early, the 7-4 joint favourite produced a flying start and she was in total control early on. Soon clear, she beat Droopys Zelda, who ran well after losing all chance at the traps. Six lengths the margin, in 28.23, with two and a half lengths back to A Lucky Julie in third.

OPENING SEMI FINAL

JACKTAVERN BOLT, trained by Graham Holland for the Pillar Syndicate, also recorded back to back victories with a brilliant winning performance in the opening semi final.

Driving a great corner to slip around in front, the 5-4 favourite kept finding at the head of affairs and he beat Trinity Junior, by a length, in 28.28. A short head back to Ballymac Finn in third.

25TH CAREER VICTORY

A quarter finalist in the Irish Greyhound Laurels in the past, Daring Bowie recorded a 25th career victory in the tenth, an A1 contest. Trained by Michael Meade for Stephanie Maguire and Peter Woods, the 2-1 shot delivered a superb 28.78 winning performance to land the spoils.
