Ian Fortune

Drveen Lass emerged a good winner of the O’Neills Dogfood A2/A3 525 at Dundalk on Saturday evening. Monleek Sudan set a strong pace but Drveen Lass was always close enough to strike once moving second at the turn.

Jim Joe McGrath’s daughter of Burgess Bucks and Moss Avenue was well off the pace in the early yards but tracked well to slip up the inside of Hillview Prince and Wiffens Gold to turn behind Monleek Sudan.

The order never changed until the run in with Drveen Lass simply outstaying her rival to lead late for a length verdict to land the €1,700 prize in 28.73. Country Blues flew home to take third, just a short head behind Monleek Sudan.

FAST RUN BY PUPS
