The Irish St Leger is a greyhound racing competition held annually at Limerick Greyhound Stadium at Greenpark, Dock Road. The competition is an original classic race and was inaugurated in 1932 at Celtic Park in Belfast but found a permanent home at the old Markets Field Greyhound Stadium in Limerick after it was hosted at various locations.

This Classic event has always been the highlight of the year at the Munster based track with the role of honour including some big names like Clonbrien Hero, Ballymac Anton, Epic Hero and most recent victor Bobsleigh Dream. It’s run over 550 yards with this being the last Classic event of the year on the greyhound calendar before the Winter Festival.

The winner of the willwego.com Irish St. Leger will receive €30,000 with the event kicking off this Saturday 28th October. The first-round draw was completed on Monday evening and a follow-up press release will be sent on Tuesday 24th October.
