YOUGHAL SALES REPORT

There were a couple of big runs at the Youghal sales on Saturday morning.

With heavy rain throughout the morning, the track was running extremely slow. Officials rated it 0.80 slow.

Burgess Major (Droopys Sydney-Burgess Madam) was the top lot on the day as the bright December puppy made €4,300. A recent 28.71 winner around Limerick, he displayed stunning early speed when winning, in 28.87 calculated.
Yahoo Sienna (Ballymac Bolger-Geelo Bluestar) was a real eye-catcher behind the Burgess runner, showing plenty of pace to finish a three-length second. A young lady with a big future, she was sold for €3,000.
Abbeyside Kaka (Dromana Bucko-Ballyhimikin Hun) was another to impress on the day. A recent course and distance winner, the February youngster showed bundles of pace on that occasion and she delivered another fine display to win her trial, in a calculated time of 28.80. She made €2,000.
Yahoo Maya (Pestana-Coolavanny Dame) finished a seven-length second to Faithful Friend, clocking a calculated time of 29.34 and the November puppy made €1,500. She also had a decent trial form in the book.
Boherash Leo was unsold after an offer of €3,000 - the reserve was €4,000. The December puppy displayed big early speed when winning, in 29.32.
Faithful Friend was making €1,700 but was unsold as the reserve was €4,000. The November puppy went quickest on the morning, posting a flying 28.85.
