€12,000 Raised at Irish Greyhound Stadia for the Dillon Quirke Foundation

Image shows 4 men and a greyhound - the men are Chris Walsh with his retired Greyhound Gold, Tim Lucey CEO of Greyhound Racing Ireland, Dan Quirke of the Dillon Quirke Foundation, and Pat Flanagan Chairman of Rásaíocht Con Éireann, pictured with a large cheque to highlight the €12,000 raised for the Dillon Quirke Foundation

Greyhound Racing Ireland was proud to present a €12,000 donation to the Dillon Quirke Foundation on behalf of the greyhound racing community. The presentation was made by Chairman Pat Flanagan to Dan Quirke during the Laurels Final night at Curraheen Park on Saturday 8th November.

This fantastic total was raised throughout the month of October by greyhound stadia nationwide, with Tralee and Kilcohan Park leading the fundraising efforts.

During a live TV broadcast interview, Dan expressed his gratitude to everyone across the industry, noting that this marks the third consecutive year that the greyhound racing community has supported the Foundation’s vital work in raising awareness and funding cardiac screening for young athletes.

A huge thank you to all staff, patrons, and stadium teams who contributed and helped make this initiative such a success. Your efforts once again highlight the generosity and community spirit that define our sport.
